The typical route of doing this in our organization is to put the suffix in the Last Name Field. However, we learned this caused problems with those employees opening a check stub in ESS if there was a comma in the name (not sure of any other characters.) Support recommended using the Salutation field but upon testing this didn't push to Aatrix Suffix field, my HR Manager was concerned about it not pushing there for tax purposes. The Advanced find screen would also need to be updated to include this Needs Review Suffix field in order to differentiate a Jr. and Sr. by name alone. Canned reports may also need to be updated for this Needs Review field. We have had this issue also, for years. Using the Salutation is not a good work-around, because that field has a different meaning. There should be a separate stand-alone field for Suffix. It should also be a separate field because it causes problems with W2 efiling.
