ESS Setup should allow for both the manager and the supervisor to access employee data in ESS I realize all companies may not be structured the same way, but there should be a flag to allow this feature. There is more than one tier of management and the system should recognize that. We have had to create multiple View Builder Roles in order to get everyone access to what they need.
